Signing his first professional soccer contract at the age of 14, Mr. Murillo is currently penning his third book. He completed coursework in education studies at Ashford University, now known as the University of Arizona Global Campus. He worked as a special education teacher from 2009 to 2012 and served as the owner of a family-owned restaurant for nine years. Presently, Mr. Murillo coaches soccer at the Fortaleza Soccer Academy.
Mr. Murillo is the author of "The Truth: What Else Could The Mendicant Think If Always the Same Coin," which was originally published in 2013. The second edition was subsequently released in 2019. He started writing the first edition of the book in 2009 and considers the publication of both editions to be his most notable accomplishment.
Mr. Murillo attributes his success to his desire and willingness to learn. He also values and respects his soccer teammates for helping him progress as an athlete. Looking toward the future, Mr. Murillo hopes to develop his own professional soccer team while continuing to write his third book.
