An ordained pastor and counselor, Mr. Wilkins has dedicated his career to serving his community in and out of his professional life. He began his career as a minister for Shiloh Baptist Church in 1994. To gain further expertise in his field, he earned a Master of Arts in religious studies from the Hardy Academy of Theology in 1997. Following this accomplishment, he appeared in a commercial for Anthony's at Point Defiance in 1998. That same year, Mr. Wilkins began working in the WorkFirst Program for the State of Washington, where he continues to excel.
In 1999, Mr. Wilkins became a ministry assistant for Allen AME, and later served at the House of Restoration Ministries as a senior pastor between 2002 and 2016, during which time he also maintained involvement with Restoration Clinic and Counseling as the chief executive officer from 2004 until 2013. He also worked as a local area planning chair for Pierce, Kitsap and South King Counties for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services from 2007 to 2016. While working there, Mr. Wilkins was named as the Employee of the Year by the Department of Social and Health Services. Likewise, he was the chief executive officer for Platinum Marketing Group LLC between 2012 and 2019.
Since 2011, Mr. Wilkins has functioned as the founder and chief executive officer for Positive Affirmations. In this capacity, he teaches people about mindfulness and how to utilize meditative skills to visualize and achieve their goals. He is particularly dedicated to helping those who are dealing with challenges that arise from impoverishment, depression and anxiety. Additionally, Mr. Wilkins has distinguished himself as an accomplished musician with the Spirit Rythum Gang since 2013.
Dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Wilkins serves as a board member for the Sisters of Hope and Brothers of Faith and is a motivational speaker for Multi-Care Oncology. He also sits as the chairman of the citizen's advisory board for the Fife Police Department Task Force on Race Relations, which seeks to help improve diversity and inclusion initiatives in his community. As part of this goal, Mr. Wilkins is also a member of the National Black Speakers Association. He integrates his faith into community action, helping to educate people and spread positivity.
