In her capacity as a laboratory quality manager, she annually assesses employees, implements document control system policies and procedures, ensures compliance with accreditation agencies, conducts statistical analyses for new tests, assists in unusual laboratory testing, and reviews and corrects deficiencies in quality control procedures. Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. Giddens has received the Employee of the Quarter award from HCA Healthcare Doctors Hospital Augusta.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Giddens is most proud to have organized the HCA Healthcare Doctors Hospital Augusta's proficiency testing system, ensuring its efficiency and ease of use under her leadership. She attributes much of her success to her diligence and zest for knowledge, as well as to Wendell Ramage, her 11th grade English teacher, who inspired her passion for reading and encouraged her to aim for greatness. Looking toward the future, Ms. Giddens aspires to complete her master's degree coursework in epidemiology while designing a quality laboratory management program for the company, and hopes to serve as a quality control lab consultant for various laboratories.
