Passionate about literature and writing, Mr. Giron obtained a bachelor's in linguistics and a master's degrees in teaching English / linguistics. He has also earned a certificate in literature from the University of Cambridge and completed training in communications and publications management. For over 30 years, he served as a professor at Montgomery College, at which he served as the English department chairperson for several years and as an acting dean. Previously, he served as the associate editor for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and taught at El Paso Community College as a professor of English/ESL.
A prolific writer, Mr. Giron considers his greatest achievement, aside from helping aspiring writers and owning a longstanding literary press, as having earned the National Best Book Award for Fiction & Literature: Anthologies from USA Book News. He also was presented with the Faculty Outstanding Service Award from Montgomery College twice. He is a notable member of the Academy of American Poets, the Association of Writers & Writing Programs and the Authors Guild.
Mr. Giron attributes his success to tenacity and his dedication to following through with his ideas. In the future, he intends to finish his own major work of fiction.
