Ms. Amberstone has leveraged her expertise in the music industry as a piano teacher in both Bulgaria and California for more than four decades. In 2005, she established Intelmusic, a music academy in San Diego. Teaching students of all age ranges and skill levels, Ms. Amberstone has been responsible for educating hundreds of students over the years through her academy, which notably hosts two annual concerts to highlight their progression.
Ms. Amberstone became fascinated by the way in which neuroscience enhances students' musicality and understanding, as well as how integrating Intelmusic's approach to teaching music theory and interpretation can benefit the recovery of her students who are stroke survivors. Consequently, she and her business partner, Mr. Marcelo Amuchastegui, who is a stroke survivor himself, began developing music lessons that implement a unique neuroscientific approach to education, which is based on brain activity mapping to facilitate learning. An innovative system that makes piano performance accessible to anyone interested in playing music, their effective method helps people of all ages learn to play much faster than a traditional teaching approach would afford.
Having begun her career in music in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, during the 1980s, Ms. Amberstone taught piano at the Secondary School of Music and subsequently taught at the Higher Institute of Music Education. Once she arrived in the U.S., she began teaching piano at the Children's Creative and Performing Arts Academy in San Diego in 1992 and the Yamaha Music Learning Center in San Diego between 1994 and 2000.

She has also worked with numerous children on the autism spectrum, through whom she has seen tremendous improvement in various areas of their development. Furthermore, Ms. Amberstone has often provided her teaching services pro bono to those that could not afford lessons. Looking toward the future, her goal is to continue introducing and building her brand of music and her educational approach to learning before she retires.
Ms. Amberstone earned a bachelor's degree in concert piano performance in her native country of Bulgaria. She remains active as a professional member of the Music Teachers' Association of California. In 2006, Ms. Amberstone was the recipient of a First Prize Award at the 1st International WPPC Most Wanted Pianovision Competition in Atlanta, in recognition of her performance of one of her original compositions in the Invention/Sonatina Invitational category.
