After inheriting Saja Farm from her aunt, Ms. Zuk sought out her distant cousin, John Grzesik, to help her manage the property. With the help of her family and friends, she presently excels as the owner of the farm, which has been held by her family since 1915. Prior to this role, Ms. Zuk worked as a systems specialist, custom systems project manager and product safety-engineering specialist for Compaq Computer Corporation, and as a product safety engineer for LCAD Inc.
An expert in her field, Ms. Zuk completed pre-medical studies and biology at Northeastern University and holds an Associate of Science in electronic engineering technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Well qualified in her field, she earned a certification in web development from Boston University, in the creation of stories for children from the Institute of Children's Literature in Connecticut and in environmental corrosion and degradation of materials from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Zuk is affiliated with the Massachusetts Farm Bureau, the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, the Women's Connection at St. Francis Church, the New England B2B Networking and the Centralville Sportsmen's Club Dracut. In conjunction with her work, she dedicates herself to her community as the vice chair of the Dracut Agricultural Commission, and as a board member with the town's Community Preservation Committee and the Open Space Committee.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Zuk is most proud to work in the farming industry, which is a path she never thought she would travel, and to have begun her career with Wang Laboratories, where she was involved with alpha testing of The PIC System, a professional imaging computer enabling documents to be digitized and electronically scanned into a computer for storage, editing, and transport to other computers. In the coming years, she aims to finish her degree in environmental management with a minor in biology at the University of Maryland's Global Online Campus. Additionally, Ms. Zuk hopes to contribute to publications, teach seminars for farmers and non-farmers and ultimately, watch her children become successful.
