Garnering a reputation as a top sculptor, he often performs sculpting, liposuction, breast and buttock augmentation, and other procedures that help shape the body. Passionate about making people look younger, Dr. Uppal has extensively studied the molecular biology of aging skin, stem cell research, and how several other factors play a role in reversing skin aging. He received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the Guru Nanak Dev University Medical College in Amritsar, India. Following this accomplishment, he accrued additional training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Well qualified in his field, Dr. Uppal is board certified in hospital medicine and aesthetic medicine. In 2013 and 2017, he was recognized in the National Consumer Advisory Board's list of America's Best Physicians.
As part of his commitments, Dr. Uppal spends much of his time participating in continued education to remain abreast of the latest basic science research into the biological basis of Aging, latest anti-aging treatments for the skin and molecular biology of the skin. His ambition is to make the skin ageless. Prior to transitioning into private practice, he spent more than a decade in critical care as a hospitalist in the intensive care unit of several area hospitals. To support his subsequent career in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Uppal has been actively engaged with various professional organizations relative to his field, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery where he has developed several mentors who guide him in his field. He is also an elected fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Uppal's hobbies are mountaineering, hiking, backpacking, ice climbing and camping. He has climbed Mount Everest and usually climbs mountains in Nepal. His other academic interests arc in Astrophysics, Quantum Field Theory, Evolutionary Biology and Consciousness.
