Mr. Mark joined Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Boston in 2021 as a real estate finance associate attorney. As a specialist in this particular area of the law, he represents financial institutions, investors and developers in their acquisition of commercial and industrial real estate projects. Collaborating with clients to overcome various complex legal issues in real estate finance, Mr. Mark is experienced in the sale, lease, finance and development of the projects, while also overseeing all phases of mortgage loan transactions and providing counsel regarding an array of commercial real estate and real estate capital markets transactions.
Prior to being acquired by Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Mr. Mark spent two years as a community development finance associate for Nixon Peabody LLP in Boston. Representing developers, investors, syndicators, lenders and other clients, he focused on leveraging tax credits to finance housing and community developments throughout the nation. Mr. Mark also garnered expertise as a legal intern for The Kraft Group & Affiliates in Foxboro, Massachusetts, while pursuing his law degree. Additionally, he served as a legal research assistant for the Rhode Island Center for Justice.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Mark aspires to continue growing as a professional attorney in the industry, while also expanding his clientele and acquiring larger accounts. He also aims to earn the role of partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Mark is presently a board member for Youth Moving Forward, an organization that provides transitional services to young men who were previously in foster care. His desire to give back was inspired by his very humble beginnings, as well as his ability to overcome racial adversity. Mr. Mark's future goals include making a positive impact in the African American community by assisting them in achieving homeownership.
Mr. Mark pursued a formal education at the University of Phoenix where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice administration and management in 2014. He subsequently received a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, at Roger Williams University School of Law in 2019 and is presently pursuing a Master of Laws in taxation at Boston University School of Law.
