Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he pursued an education at the Miami Dade College, where he obtained an Associate of Arts in ocean engineering in 1992, and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Florida International University in 1998. He continued his academic efforts at Brenau University, attaining a Master of Business Administration in 2013, and concluded his scholarly endeavors at Walden University, earning a Doctor of Business Administration and project management in 2018. As a commitment to his field, he is certified in level two professional design erosion control and as a professional engineer in the states of Washington, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Georgia and Florida. Additionally, Dr. Ramage has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Golden Key International Honor Society and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
Dr. Ramage began his vocation as an engineer at the Department of Environmental Resources Management in Miami, Florida, from 1998 to 1999, and garnered expertise as a design engineer at Consulting Engineering and Science Inc. between 1999 and 2002. He contributed as a project manager at Hill, Foley, Rossi and Associates LLC from 2002 until 2007, and at Hussey, Gay, Bell and DeYoung Inc. from 2007 to 2010. Between 2010 and 2020, he built a prolific career working as a senior project manager for such companies as TruVision and Jackson Health System, while concurrently serving as a nonprofit chief executive officer at SERCHEOA from 2016 until 2019. Since 2021, he has been active in his role as a senior project manager at GCW Inc. In this capacity, Mr. Ramage is responsible for flood control during land development, drainage and flood studies, mentoring and supervising personnel and communicating with various departments, clients and government agencies on project designs and management.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Ramage has contributed to various charity and research organizations, including the Salvation Army, United Way, Goodwill, March of Dimes and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Among his career accomplishments, he is most proud of his engineering projects on various military bases, especially his designs for flood control, roadwork and the military dining facilities and barracks. He attributes much of his success to his gregarious personality and his ability to thrive in any situation.
