A young expert in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery, Dr. Halsey has been a dedicated physician for several years. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Lee University in 2010 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014. Following these accomplishments, she worked as a plastic surgery resident for Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2014. During her residency, she was selected chief resident during her final year. She subsequently completed a fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery in 2020 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Since 2021, Dr. Halsey has been working as a pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, serving as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University and the University of South Florida. She is a member of the American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Throughout her career, Dr. Halsey has authored nearly 40 published journal articles and five book chapters. Known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, she serves as a medical adviser and volunteer for a medical missions organization Far-Flung Tin Can. She has been involved in medical missions throughout her youth - traveling throughout Central and South America and has utilized her skills and experience to do meaningful work in medicine.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Halsey would like to continue to build her pediatric plastic surgery practice at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and work to mentor plastic surgery residents in their clinical and research endeavors.
