Ms. Cardillo's foundation as a healthcare professional began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, gradually entering into a nursing pool, nursing office manager in an OB-GYN office setting, telemetry, oncology, medical-surgical department, operating room nurse and operating room charge nurse.

Conversing with Ms. Cardillo regarding her life experiences "as we know that the failures are steppingstones to success, we need to consider failures as a feedback and thereby strategize them towards the final outcome. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals." The basic fundamentals consist of principles, rules, laws, self-awareness, self-worth, self-sufficient, self-respect, organization, determination, and perseverance. Her personal mentor in that regard was her mother who was diligently a jewelry designer and an interior decorator. Ms. Cardillo was the sole caregiver for several years. She admires her mother for being trustworthy, strong willed, loyal, perfectionist, loving and independent. Ms. Cardillo has inherited these attributes from her mother which has contributed to her becoming an exceptional nurse.
