In her career related endeavors, Ms. Rubio has authored and illustrated "Welcome to this World," among other works, and has had her photography and artwork featured in various magazines, competitions and exhibitions. Well regarded for her contributions to the field, she has received multiple awards, including the Top 30 Interior Designers to Keep an Eye on in 2022, by The NYC Journal, and the Top 20 Interior Designers to Keep an Eye on in 2021, by the Entrepreneurs Herald. In accounting for her success, Ms. Rubio credits God, her consistency, and dedication to creating unique and personalized designs for each client.
In 2017, she founded Nature Scouts, a learning platform, where she serves as the director of educational services. She supports Women at Risk, International, an organization that strives to "unite and educate to create circles of protection around those at risk through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects." In 2022 she has partnered with ArtServe, A21, Hersong, a ministry of the Tim Tebow Foundation, and the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition, along with other organizations to launch "STORIES," a program that aims to educate, equip, and empower students, parents, and educators to fight modern slavery. She believes when art becomes personal it not only tells who we are, but has the ability to shape who we are becoming. Rhona strives to cultivate introspective dialogue connecting us all on a personal level to social issues of our time, and spark conversations for change.
As an artist, she is focused on providing interactive and educational art on social topics such as motherhood, human trafficking and the environment. Looking toward the future, Ms. Rubio hopes to expand the scope of her business while contributing more to her local community through art and design.
