SCOTTSDALE, AZ, May 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ronald L. Peters, MD, MPH, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Fascinated by the natural wisdom of the human body and the true nature of diseases, Dr. Peters has accrued over 50 years of experience in the medical field. He has earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Stanford University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine. After completing an internship with the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Boston, he returned to UCLA, this time to the School of Public Health, with a National Cancer Institute training grant to study the epidemiology and prevention of chronic disease. After one year of study, he obtained a Master of Public Health degree.
Throughout his career, Dr. Peters has found success as a medical director at various medical centers and hospitals. Likewise, he has worked as a doctor in family medicine and preventative medicine at multiple private practices. Since 2011, he has excelled as the medical director of the MindBody Medicine Center. In this role, Dr. Peters consults with patients and focuses on treating disease by evaluation of all body systems and the restoration of balance and optimal function.
Dr. Peters' experience in traditional medicine, with its emphasis on pharmaceutical symptom-relieving drug therapy, was unsatisfactory, both to him and his patients. Consequently, he has been studying integrative or functional medicine for the past 30 years to understand how to promote and restore health and the body, and he has discovered that it is much more effective at reversing chronic disease. Dr. Peters works with Master teachers to understand the nature of consciousness and how disease arises from the conscious and unconscious mind.
Among his numerous accomplishments, Dr. Peters is most proud of his book, "Edgework: Exploring the Psychology of Disease, Beyond Diet and Fitness," which encapsulates the power of the conscious and unconscious mind over the human body. The book reveals how people consciously and unconsciously create their own reality, including disease in body and mind. And, importantly, how they can respond to disease to restore health. He maintains that the purpose of disease is to make changes in body and mind that lead to personal growth and healing. As an integrative medicine practitioner, he sees the body as an incredible symphony of complex systems working together, and no system can be isolated from the others. Early in his career, he has clearly seen the importance of understanding how the mind governs the body. In the future, Dr. Peters intends to educate others on these subjects with a healing course and online reference platform that he is developing currently.
