Mrs. Thompson is most proud to have served as the chief of recruitment for the Directorate of Operations at the CIA.
LANCASTER, VA, May 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ocassa Thompson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mrs. Thompson earned a Bachelor of Arts in history, with a minor in education, at Good Counsel College in 1969. She also became a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society. She went on to post graduate coursework and taught junior high school for over two years on Long Island, New York. Following this period, she joined the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She earned promotion into the Senior Intelligence Service. Mrs. Thompson served her country for nearly three and a half decades, for which she received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal.
Now retired, over the past ten years Mrs. Thompson has served her community in Lancaster County, Virginia, in various positions including president of the board of directors of the Lancaster County Community Library, as a board member with Rappahannock Community College, as a board member of the Interfaith Service Council and work with Hospice support. She is also chair of the Lancaster County Broadband Authority.
While her career has been filled with highlights Mrs. Thompson is most proud to have served as the chief of recruitment for the Directorate of Operations at the CIA. Additionally, she held several management positions in different parts of the agency and became known for her management skills. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Thompson hopes that she will be able to continue to serve the residents of Lancaster County in some capacity.
