His sauces serve as a healthier option in comparison to other dressings, containing less sugar but the same taste. Mr. Whitehurst's newest barbeque sauce will debut in mid-2022.

Overseeing all operations for his business, which has been recognized as a certified, service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, Mr. Whitehurst also serves as the spokesperson for his brand. Looking toward the future, he aspires to hire several former military personnel to support the growing demand of the company.
Following the example of his father, who worked in food service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Whitehurst enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private in 2001. After completing basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, he advanced to the role of a food service specialist at Fort Lee, Virginia. Over the next two decades, Mr. Whitehurst garnered experience as a food service specialist, first cook, senior first cook, baker and senior culinary management noncommissioned officer.
A native of North Carolina, Mr. Whitehurst earned an associate degree at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, and subsequently received certification as a food service specialist. He is presently working toward a bachelor's degree in business management at American Military University.
Mr. Whitehurst is a professional member of the National Veteran Business Development Council. Recognizing his success, he has been featured in several local newspapers, including The Fayetteville Observer and The Daily News for his success as an entrepreneur. For his years of military service, Mr. Whitehurst was decorated with numerous medals and ribbons, including an Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze stars and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Mr. Whitehurst was also honored to receive a Distinguished Order of Saint Martin, which is presented to senior grade officers and civilians for their contributions to the Quartermaster Corps.
