Ms. DeSisto continued her academic efforts at Harvard University's Extension School, where she worked towards a master's in writing and literature until 2000.
In her teens, Ms. DeSisto began her career young, working for Polaroid Corporation. During her 18-year stay, she held many manufacturing, chemical engineering, marketing, and finance roles. She left the company in 1995 and later joined Reebok as a senior sales analyst in 1997. Between 1999 and 2003, she worked as a worldwide consolidator on the IBM Corporation Merger and Acquisition team and, subsequently, contributed to various companies in a variety of leadership roles, including as an executive IT management consultant at Gillette Inc., an executive IT project manager at Houghton Mifflin, an assistant IT project manager at Pegasystems, an executive project manager at Manulife Financial, a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, and a project management consultant at Dell EMC. She continued as an executive management consultant at DeSisto Consulting LLC from 2013 until 2016. Since 2016, she has found much success as the founder and chief executive officer of Digital Marketing Stream. In this capacity, Ms. DeSisto specializes in internet marketing, digital advertising, web development, graphic design, and social media and branding solutions to develop meaningful and authentic brands for small businesses and executives.
Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. DeSisto has received multiple awards, including the Top 50 Women Influencers to Follow award and the Top 50 Women in Tech Influencers to Follow award by Awards Magazine, as well as the Top 25 Women in Tech to Follow award by Kred and the Top 100 Social Media Marketing Influencers to Follow award by Statusbrew, among others. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, she volunteers her time and services as a global juror at the International Board of Business Owners and Entrepreneurs. Furthermore, Ms. DeSisto has distinguished herself as the founder, program director, and coach of the Special Olympics Unified Basketball Program and the founder and president of the Special Education Advisory Committee in Canton, to name only a few.
Ms. DeSisto has four successful adult children and is the daughter of two United States Marines who met and married in Quantico. Her father was a Purple Heart and Gold Star recipient. Her mother, Catherine, worked for Polaroid for 25 years and later joined Fidelity Investments, and her father, George, worked for Sears Roebuck. Both parents also owned small businesses.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. DeSisto is most proud to have garnered consulting experiences at prominent companies and of her ability to rebrand and market businesses and executives to raise their stature. She attributes much of her success to the expertise that she acquired while at Polaroid Corporation and IBM and her extensive proficiency in marketing and technology. Looking toward the future, Ms. DeSisto aspires to continue operating her private business, Digital Marketing Stream, as a boutique company.
