Aaron Y. Mbogho has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Mr. Mbogho is recognized for his expertise as an entomologist

    MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Aaron Y. Mbogho has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A world-renowned entomologist, Mr. Mbogho has been a dedicated Agricultural Officer for more than 20 years. He has described and named several species of insects including Neomacrocoris vuga and N. bondelaufa he collected in Tanzania, East Africa. Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, Tanzania, in 2002. While there, he served as the Deputy Secretary and Acting Vice-President of the students' organization. Between 2002 and 2003, he worked as a Horticultural Officer for West Kilimanjaro Farms Ltd until becoming an education officer for the then Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Tanzania, teaching advanced level biology and organic chemistry. In 2004, he served as an Agricultural Extension Officer for Enterprise Works Worldwide, an agency in the United States, for an international development project in Tanzania to increase the production of quality fruits to improve the incomes of poor-resourced farmers. Mr. Mbogho established mother orchard and managed fruit seedlings for distribution to the needy growers.

Following this role, Mr. Mbogho completed a post-graduate course in sustainable agriculture at the Navdanya Agroecology and Biodiversity Conservation Centre in Bija Vidyapeeth, India, in 2005. With this accomplishment, he returned to Tanzania as a Project Coordinator, board member and Agricultural Officer for Envirocare, advising farmers on how to efficiently use dwindling resources to increase production. To further his expertise in his field, he attained a Master of Science in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences at the University of Missouri in 2012 in the United States. While pursuing his degree, he served as an Agriculture Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant as well as an instructor for introductory courses in the study of insects for undergraduate students from 2009 to 2012.

From 2007 to 2021, Mr. Mbogho served as an agricultural officer and entomology researcher for the Ministry of Agriculture in Tanzania, coordinating and carrying out plant health protection services and allied research activities. In recognition of his expertise, leadership and managerial talents, he was appointed to District Commissioner (DC) position by HE late JP Magufuli as a sitting Mwanga District Commissioner from 2016 to 2019.

Additionally, Mr. Mbogho is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tamar Mining and Trading Company in the US and Tamar Mining Company Limited in Tanzania. Mr. Mbogho has a dream of growing big in business in order to increase community access to safe water and support forsaken senior citizens and the orphans in Tanzania.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Mbogho has authored and co-authored numerous works in entomology. He has several published articles in Zootaxa, Springer Nature and African Invertebrates among other professional journals.

Currently, Mr. Mbogho has completed his research work, potentially leading to a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Zoology at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania where he registered and submitted his thesis for examination. During his PhD candidature, Mr. Mbogho was working on Reciprocation of subjective economic thresholds for five caterpillar pests of cabbage; an insightful ecological management study of lepidopterous pests and has instituted a reciprocal economic threshold for caterpillar pests of cabbage crops in Tanzania. As part of this work, he evaluated farmers' conventional control practices of these caterpillars; a finding to create a safe, affordable and sustainable agricultural management strategy of the five fierce species of the caterpillar pests of cabbage.
