Dr. Prescott has accrued over 30 years of experience in the field of women's health. She initially pursued a formal education at Hampton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a focus in women's health, in 1992. Subsequently, in 2002, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in women's health, from Seton Hall University. In 2019, Dr. Prescott graduated from the Drexel University College of Nursing & Health Professions Division of Undergraduate Nursing, where she obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
Dr. Prescott is a board-certified women's health nurse/advanced practice registered nurse. She has worked at various medical facilities throughout her career as a nurse practitioner, including Planned Parenthood, from 2002 to 2010, and Miami Children's Hospital, now known as Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Since 2010, she has served as a DNP, among other roles, at the Jessie Trice Community Health Center Inc. Additionally, since 2017, Dr. Prescott has acted as a parent liaison in the Parent Support Group for 100 Black Men of Greater Florida.
In her current role, Dr. Prescott provides care on behalf of obstetrics and gynecological patients and performs gynecological exams and procedures. She considers one of her career highlights to be an instance characterized by one of her long-time obstetrics patients, who congratulated and thanked her for her professionalism and kindness. In 2020, Dr. Prescott was recognized as one of South Florida's Top Health Care Professionals by Legacy Miami. She attributes her success to her strong family support system. Looking toward the future, she intends to establish a home health care business.
