During the early years of his career, Mr. Bishop earned an Associate of Science in natural science and an Associate of Arts in humanities from Moreno Valley College as well as a Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory science from Loma Linda University. During his studies, he gained valuable professional and leadership expertise as the student trustee for the Riverside Community College District, a research assistant for the University of California, Riverside, and the executive vice president for the Loma Linda University Student Association. Over the years, Mr. Bishop worked as a clinical laboratory scientist and night lead CLS for Riverside Community Hospital and an Area Laboratory Manager for Kaiser Permanente.
In recent years, Mr. Bishop honed his expertise in strategy, operations, supply chain management and more with Accumen, Inc., where he currently works as a healthcare consultant. Drawing on years of practiced experience, he currently excels as a Medical Service Corps officer for the United States Navy Reserve.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bishop has furthered his academic efforts numerous times, earning a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Redlands, as well as garnering professional certificates in Project Management for Business and Lean Six Sigma from the University of California, Riverside. He is licensed as a clinical laboratory scientist through the California Department of Public Health and maintains certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology. To remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Bishop is affiliated with the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the American College of Health Care Executives, and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Mr. Bishop has been presented with the Student Purposeful Leadership Award from the University of the Redlands and the George T. Smith Leadership Award from the Navy League of the United States. In a career that has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of serving as the Division Officer of "Juliett Company" while at Officer Development School with the United States Navy. In the coming years, Mr. Bishop aims to advance to executive administrative positions within the healthcare space.
