An expert in public health, operations and clinical home care, Ms. Moretz-Pera has excelled as a dedicated nursing consultant for more than 50 years. She decided to pursue a career path in nursing while in high school out of her natural tendency to help people and provide care for them. To prepare for her career in healthcare, she earned a diploma in nursing from the Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1976. To further her expertise, she obtained a Master of Arts in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University in 1981. Well-qualified in her field, she is certified as a wound care nurse and a registered nurse.
Prior to beginning her private career, Ms. Moretz-Pera served honorably as a military registered nurse for the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. In honor of her dedicated work, she received a Senior Nurse Flight Badge and a Chief Nurse Badge from the U.S. Air Force.
Following her military service, Ms. Moretz-Pera worked in home health nursing care as well as a Consultant in Nursing. Since 2003, she has found success as the owner of JMM Consulting. In this capacity, she holds the assignment- and project-based responsibilities of the company, including serving as a supervisor, administrator and quality assurance leader. Passionate about caring for others in her community as well as in her career.
Looking to the future, Ms. Moretz-Pera intends to continue working in the nursing field, either in her present consulting capacity or returning to active nursing work. Even if her involvement in the profession becomes less over time, she wants to remain an expert resource for other rising professionals.
