At just 18 years old, Mr. Malaspina began his career in law enforcement and the security field, earning an Associate of Science in the field from Ocean County College. Subsequently, he received an Associate of Arts and Sciences in security and loss prevention management from Atlantic Cape Community College and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Stockton State College, now known as Stockton University. Additionally, he has become a certified electrician, licensed locksmith and alarm technician, and has received several other certifications through Foley-Belsaw Institute and Ashworth University.
Drawing on years of considerable expertise, as an investigator and protective service, Mr. Malaspina most recently worked as a security consultant and owner of JRESC Services. He operated his firm between 1983 and 2007 then returned to public service until his final retirement in 2012. To remain aware of developments affecting his field, he aligned himself with the Better Business Bureau, ACL, & ASIS International. Throughout the course of his career, he has authored articles in various professional journals, as well as "Your Security Guide," which was published by E-BookTime, LLC in 2007; a revised edition was just released by Stratton Press Publishers. "Your Security Guide" serves as a reference and basic overview of the security field aimed toward homeowners, administrators, business owners and apprentices. To commemorate his accomplishments, he has been listed in The International Who's Who, and received recognition from other Who's Who organizations which has been the highlight of his career thus far.
