Eventually, Ms. Neveu aims to open her own clinic to better serve the community, while also making more resources available to the underserved population.
LAFAYETTE, LA, June 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Phoenicia Neveu, MSN, APRN, FNP, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Neveu has excelled as a family nurse practitioner with the Pediatric Group of Acadiana LLC in Lafayette since 2021. Becoming experienced in treating a variety of conditions alongside a talented team of specialists, which includes an allergist, immunologist, internist and hospitalist, her facility is notably located in a very rural community. Offering limited access to care in the small town, her clinic is recognized as the only designated pediatric facility nearby.
Ms. Neveu often treats children, screening them for autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and depression. She also performs wellness, eye, and ear exams, provides vaccinations, prescribes medications, and offers referrals when necessary. Eventually, Ms. Neveu aims to open her own clinic to better serve the community, while also making more resources available to the underserved population.
Ms. Neveu previously garnered experience as a registered nurse in a variety of settings over the course of 20 years, including psychiatric nursing, dialysis, transplant nursing and transplant care management. She also served as the director of several facilities, including Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Lafayette, a nationally recognized behavioral health provider. Just prior to joining the Pediatric Group of Acadiana LLC, Ms. Neveu was a kidney resource manager for Optum from 2019 to 2021 and a transplant coordinator for the Texas Transplant Institute.
Deeply engaged with her community, Ms. Neveu volunteers her time with several women and children violence abuse shelters every month by providing much-needed supplies and education. She also works with a local food bank feeding the needy population. Inspired by her family, Ms. Neveu's grandmother played an especially significant role in her upbringing.
Ms. Neveu initially earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1999. She eventually obtained a Master of Science in nursing and leadership at Grand Canyon University in 2018. Shortly thereafter, she continued her studies, accruing a postmasters' certification as a family nurse practitioner at Maryville University of Saint Louis, which included didactic and clinical instruction, in 2020. In support of her career, Ms. Neveu is affiliated with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Black Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
