Prior to his time with Tatum Brown Custom Homes, Mr. Cain founded The Cain Company where he is the CEO. The Cain Company is notably a family-owned business that invests and provides consulting services for various construction, construction service, and manufacturing businesses to help them achieve growth and sustainability in their respective sectors.
Mr. Cain previously worked for Sebastian Construction Group between 2006 and 2019. During his tenure, he was promoted from the director of operations to the president and was involved in all areas of general contracting, construction management and preconstruction services. In this capacity, he successfully lead the organization's growth in revenue from $20 million to over $100 million annually. Early in his career, Mr. Cain also honed his skills as a project manager and superintendent for Speed Fab-Crete and a project engineer for Austin Commercial.
As a part of his established commitments to his community, Mr. Cain is affiliated with the Lone Star Chapter of Young Presidents Organization Inc. He is also a member of the industry advisory council of the School of Architecture, Design, and Construction at his alma mater, Auburn University, where he previously earned a Bachelor's Degree in Building Science in 2002. To support his professional endeavors, he has been serving as the president and a board member for the Texas chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art since 2015. Recognizing his achievements, Mr. Cain was part of the team honored as the Contractor of the Year by the American Institute of Architects in Dallas in 2019.
