HOUSTON, TX, June 07, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chinyere C.V. Ofoma, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing upon a multifaceted background in information technology and legal service, Ms. Ofoma has distinguished herself as the principal attorney at her boutique legal practice, the Ofoma Law Group LLC, since 2021. Bearing a wealth of expertise in the fields of business and commercial law, immigration law and intellectual property, among other specialty areas, she primarily serves as an in-house counsel to such patrons as private individuals, corporations and nonprofit organizations. Passionate and devoted to the success of her clients, Ms. Ofoma is singularly dedicated to fulfilling the specific and unique needs of every case, as well as operating with full transparency and ethical fortitude.
Prior to her work in law, Ms. Ofoma studied management and information systems at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, from which she received an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude. Following this accomplishment, she earned distinction as a systems, application and products consultant on behalf of the IBM Corporation, where she advanced through three promotions over the span of her five years of employment. Throughout her work with IBM, Ms. Ofoma was notably flown abroad to manage various projects.
Having long aspired to study legal service, Ms. Ofoma attended the law school at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and garnered a laudable reputation for her service as part of the business law clinic and as a student teacher via the Rutgers Street Law Program. Additionally, she was one of five students to represent Rutgers at the International Mediation Competition in Paris. After graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2013, Ms. Ofoma transitioned away from her work in information technology and secured a position at the local Attorney General's office. Her subsequent work in this capacity, as well as her service as a patent office intern, provided the foundation upon which she now resides.
Well qualified in her field, Ms. Ofoma has been admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and New York and earned certification as an information privacy professional from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Additionally, she offers her insight through lectures and written works on the legal aspects of immigration, advertising and marketing, intellectual property, and business and commerce. Equally dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Ofoma is a member of the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice and offers her services in transactional legal assistance to the Pro Bono Partnership organization, as well as a mentor to area high school and college students who seek to follow her example.
Noted for her achievements in both legal service and as an information technology professional, Ms. Ofoma received numerous company-based awards for excellent performance. Among her career accomplishments, she is especially proud to have launched and maintained her own legal practice and to have supported a wide array of clients with her diverse set of skills. While it normally takes legal professionals two decades to transition from working in law firms to serving as in-house counsels, Ms. Ofoma is gratified to have navigated the process in a much shorter period, which stands as one of her greatest achievements.
