Following this accomplishment, he attended Wayne State University Law School, from which he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1990. Between 1990 and 1993, Mr. Smith garnered experience as an associate attorney at Bodman PLC.
Since 1994, Mr. Smith has found success as an attorney at his practice, Law Office of David Smith. His areas of expertise reside in corporate and collections law. Furthermore, while attending law school, Mr. Smith won a moot court award, in addition to having been distinguished as a James B. Angell Scholar.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Smith has been a member of the Environmental Association for the Michigan Bar. Civically, he was in charge of a charitable organization for 20 years, and served as the secretary of North Oakland Mopar Muscle, a company that contributes to the Make A Wish Foundation. Aside from his work as a lawyer, Mr. Smith enjoys restoring cars, as his father was an automobile expert. He has been published in several Mopar Muscle magazines.
