Widely renowned for his extensive volunteerism and civic leadership, Mr. Harmening has found success as a banking administrator as well as a salesman for a number of industries. Prior to his retirement in 2020, he was active as a real estate broker with Mensendiek Real Estate & Auction Professionals, which initially recruited him as a referral agent in 2002. Mr. Harmening has excelled as an insurance salesman after working for Link-Belt Ball & Roller Bearing Division, for more than 45 years.
Alongside his professional career, Mr. Harmening served as a security guard, treasurer and board member for numerous local credit unions in a volunteer capacity. He was notably appointed as the chairman of the board of one (1) credit union after serving as a board member for more than a decade. Mr. Harmening also was elected as the president of the religious education board of his local church.
In addition to his Christian faith, Mr. Harmening attributes a great deal of his success to the influence of his late father, who taught him the value of helping others at a young age. For more than 50 years, Charles "Bill" Harmening Sr. is extremely proud to have provided a comfortable lifestyle for his family and continuously keeping a strong interest in fulfilling his civic responsibilities. Since his retirement, Mr. Harmening has revisited his passion for fine art and has amassed a collection of more than 40 oil paintings.
