Today she holds extensive academic credentials, including a PhD in Christian Leadership, Christian Education, and a Doctoral Degree in Divinity, from Faith Tabernacle Schools and Seminary, Bethlehem Bible College and Seminary, and Faith Theological Seminary & Christian College. Dr. McClendon plans to pursue more postgraduate study in the future. In her role as one of the founders and owners, she serves as the Executive Director of Little Cubz Learning Center LLC, Dr. McClendon has been proudly assisting parents in their search for 24-hour childcare since 2014. Her establishment also provides a solid educational foundation to the enrollees, ranging from infants through elementary school-aged children. Little Cubz Learning Center was recognized by the Florida Association for Childcare Management (FACCM) with their Florida Apple Accreditation, which is FACCM's national early learning program distinction. She now looks forward to opening a second school location in North Carolina.
One of Dr. McClendon's proudest personal milestones was breaking out of the denominational barriers to follow the non-denominational path. Four of her siblings, husband, son-in-law and daughter are ministers and, for more than a decade, she too has served at the Way of Life Message Center & Training Institute. She is dedicated to other avenues of service as well, holding a seat on the board of directors of the Professional Women's Network and collaborating with several community agencies in both Boynton Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, assisting with the well-being of less fortunate families; to donate in-kind needs, and food distribution especially to people in need during the height of the pandemic. Dr. McClendon is also honored to have met with the United States Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh, and to have received a letter of appreciation from Congresswoman Lois Frankel.
