SILVER SPRING, MD, June 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edward Woody has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As an experienced Emeritus Certified Property Manager ("CPM"), Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service and Maryland Real Estate Associate Broker, Mr. Woody has been involved in the fields of real estate and taxation from the time he was in junior high school. He initially assisted in his father's law office, and in his parents' real estate and tax businesses. After high school, he continued working in his families' business and also attended Maryland University for two years and then transferred to the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in chemistry and a minor in biology. He then pursued postgraduate coursework in biochemistry at American University in Washington, D.C., where he received outstanding marks in advanced chemical analysis. Unfortunately, Mr. Woody developed severe allergic responses to the chemicals in the lab and was forced to withdraw. After consulting with several medical dermatologists, they told him that he might be able to eventually complete his studies and get his doctorate degree but it would probably be posthumously. Consequently, Mr. Woody decided to pursue a business career along the lines of his previous business experience in hi family business activities.
While still in college, Mr. Woody studied for, completed course work for, and took and passed the IRS special enrollment examination and received the IRS Special Enrollment designation and Enrollment card. Additionally, Mr. Woody successfully passed the Maryland salesman real estate licensing examination and became a Maryland licensed real estate salesman. After completing the required three year salesman term, Mr. Woody completed the requirements for the Maryland Real Estate Brokers license, took the required test, passed it, and became a Maryland Real Estate Associate Broker. (Maryland law requires that there be only one Broker per firm, so Mr. Woody became an Associate Broker.)
Mr. Woody became a Certified Property Manager Candidate in 1975, and then he completed his required coursework and other requirements and became a full member and CPM in 1985. After completing 25 years of service and work, Mr. Woody was awarded the distinguished designation of "CPM Emeritus" in 2010. Backed by his considerable experience, Mr. Woody currently excels as an Emeritus Certified Property Manager, Licensed Maryland Real Estate Associate Broker and an IRS Enrolled Agent and has provided consultations to individuals and businesses that are real estate developers, financial clients and those that have issues with real estate and taxes. In order to remain aware of current changes in his fields, Mr. Woody remains a currently licensed Maryland Real Estate Associate Broker, an Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent, an Emeritus Certified Property Manager, and is a member in good standing with the Maryland Society of Accounting & Tax Professionals and the National Association of Tax Professionals.
Alongside his primary work in the field, Mr. Woody serves as a member of the board of directors for the White Oak Professional Park Condominium Association and authored a book titled "Galactic Empires: Invasion: How a Dancer Became a Star and a Hero." Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is very proud of achieving his certifications in the field of real estate and taxes. In the coming years, Mr. Woody aims to continue along the same path and experience further growth and success and continue writing sequels to his book.
