To prepare for his career, he earned an Associate of Applied Business from Bryant & Stratton College in 1997 and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the same institution in 2014. While pursuing his education, he won the Best Student Paper Award from the Applied Business and Entrepreneurship Association International in 2012. He also establishes a value for the artwork and markets the pieces to influencers, bookstores and others who can establish a networking opportunity for the business. To gain further expertise in his field, Mr. Pledger attained a Master of Legal Studies from Cleveland State University in 2017.
In addition to his main career, Mr. Pledger earned distinction as an independent news distributor for Plain Dealer News Depot from 2020 to 2021. He has also worked as a freelance artist for 99designs, Fiverr International Ltd. and Guru.com. Likewise dedicated to creative endeavors, he was an ad creator for the Wall Street Business Journal and wrote numerous press releases for various businesses. He was featured on Jude and Alice Radio and had his work highlighted by Prelude2Cinema, and was a participant at the Black Age of Comics Conventions in 2014 and 2015 and in the Pekar Park Comic Book Fest in 2019. He is also the creator of a business infomercial for Spotlight5 and for the Brady Campaign commercial in 2016. In recognition of his work in media, Mr. Pledger was nominated for the Webby Awards in 2019 and for the Telly Awards in 2021.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Pledger intends to become involved in an institutional service related to the local Urban League or to serve on a business advisory committee. He also plans to work on becoming the owner of an LLC, which would enable him to invite individuals and residual executive leadership members to serve as co-owners.
