He also offers free, local delivery throughout the Tucson area and sells them wholesale to other restaurants, cafes and delicatessens. Malta Joe's Baked Goods now also offers The Pastizzi Express, a food truck that is exclusive for local catering events and can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 100 guests.
Aside from his bakery business, Mr. Gauci is an experienced sound designer and owner of Maltajo Productions LLC in Oro Valley, Arizona. Established in 2004 after garnering more than two decades of industry experience, his satellite audio post-production company brings productions to life for his clients via radio, television and film. Previously, Mr. Gauci held various prominent roles with such organizations as In Demand, 38 Greene Studios and Beantown Productions/The Tony Danza Show. He also had the opportunity to serve as a member of the production team for "Doug", a cartoon television series on Nickelodeon that ran for seven seasons during the 1990s.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Gauci received a Bachelor of Arts in communications at Westchester Community College at the State University of New York in 1985. Mr. Gauci subsequently received certification in film production and editing at New York University and in audio technology at the Institute of Audio Research in New York.
