NEW YORK, NY, June 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Rutherford White has participated in The Star Treatment, a prestigious video series hosted by renowned lawyer and television personality, Star Jones. This premier video series is extremely limited — Marquis Who's Who qualifies 500 listees on an annual basis for this elite service. Backed by a storied career in media that spans more than two decades, Star works closely with Marquis listees to assist with networking goals and commemorative efforts that can be shared with a worldwide audience.
As the founder and owner of Firefly Creative Entertainment Group, Mr. White has set himself apart as a distinguished professional in the entertainment industry. "I created Firefly in 2001 once I moved to Los Angeles," Mr. White said. "Before that, I worked in Atlanta and had work with a network, and got to see the ins and outs of how a corporation works." In the years since, Mr. White used that experience to produce features on his own, which is the dream of every producer and creative person.
As a creative, Mr. White feels that it is critical to understand that there are two sides to the process of producing features: the client side, and the vendor side. Having worked with a number of vendors himself as a client, he gained an intimate knowledge of how vendors produced the materials required to create scenes and finished features, and he has used this knowledge to great effect at Firefly.
The first part of approaching any project Mr. White takes on is examining what is physically and financially required, and determining, first, if those goals are attainable, and second, what must be done to achieve them. Mr. White is most fond of producing on-air promos, since those are not necessarily tied to a specific genre of production, so working on promotions can involve comedies, dramas, or sports features.
One of the greatest highlights of Mr. White's career has been his work with the FX network. Currently, he is involved with promoting the American Horror Story series, which is in its eleventh season. "We're really fortunate to not have to cut from the show… we're able to take the cast members and put them in our own environment that kind of touches on what's happening, but not really revealing that." He is immensely grateful to have such a coveted job that allows him to do truly creative work.
Mr. White's advice to viewers of his Star Treatment feature is to find balance in everything they do, while still keeping their eye on career development and opportunities that may present themselves. "You've got to stay present and do what you need to do today, as well as the past and the future." With a creative mind and talent for promotion and media, Mr. White is a worthy recipient of the Star Treatment.
