An expert in cybersecurity and technical privacy programs, Ms. Williams has been working in information security for more than 10 years. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lasell University in 2008 and a Master of Science in Management in Project Management from the same institution in 2009. Well qualified in her field, she is a certified information privacy manager and governance, risk, and compliance professional and holds certifications in risk and information systems control, and GIAC information security fundamentals.
Following her educational accomplishments, Ms. Williams became an internal auditor with Computershare US in 2010 and was promoted in 2013 to an information security technical adviser. She subsequently transitioned to Computershare UK the same year as an information security technical consultant in order to further her career with international experience and direct mentorship under the CISO. She returned to the United States as the global program manager for the global information security and risk group, managing the team's portfolio of products and budget, a role in which she served from 2014 to 2016.
Ms. Williams continued her career with Computershare in 2016, being promoted to the role of senior risk manager until becoming the director of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) at LogMeIn in 2018. Since 2021, she has been the vice president of information technology GRC for Devo. In this capacity, she oversees the internal information security and technical privacy programs at the company. She manages a team who maintains all aspects of information security, including risk and gap product assessments, the Security Operations Center, vulnerability management program, security assurance and validation, and compliance to programs including the general data protection regulation and SOC2 Type II. She is also the company's interim chief information security officer, a position she acquired in 2022.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Williams is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Open Compliance and Ethics Group and InfraGard Massachusetts. A thoughtful and strategic thinker, she listens to all perspectives before making conclusions, integrating the needs of others into her decisions. This has created a trusting relationship with her colleagues, leading to her team's success at Devo.
