After a successful career in the military and the police force, Mr. Moore founded Curtis Moore Private Investigation in Maryland in 1992. An expert in investigations due to his previous law enforcement experience, he focuses on investigating accidents, interviewing witnesses and settling claims for clients. An enjoyable career, Mr. Moore appreciates the freedom he has in being his own boss and being able to work on cases at his own pace to safeguard their success.
Mr. Moore initially entered the U.S. Army at the age of 19. After eight weeks of basic training in Fort Dix, New Jersey, followed by infantry training in Fort Ord, California, he was recruited to serve in the Special Forces; these soldiers are legendary for taking on the most sensitive missions in the Army, better known as the Green Berets. He also began training as a paratrooper and as an engineer where he became responsible for building fortifications, water supply and basic sanitation. Mr. Moore subsequently began serving as a police officer for the New York Police Department (NYPD) in New York City, Brooklyn and Queens, before being promoted to sergeant in the 77th precinct in Brooklyn. He retired from public service in 1988 after 20 years of service.
A dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Moore has been involved with the Legal Defense Fund and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the City University of New York. Mr. Moore is also a private investigator in the state of New York and a private detective in the state of Maryland.
Highlighting his achievements as a police officer, Mr. Moore has been decorated with several medals for good arrests from the NYPD.
