She continued her academic efforts at California State University in Northridge, earning a Master of Science in communication disorders in 2020. As a commitment to her field, Ms. Ampil-Alcid has obtained her clinical competence certification, and has been active as a member with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Ms. Ampil-Alcid began her career as a registered behavior technician at Meaningful Growth from 2015 to 2016, before working as an administrative assistant at Sprout Children's Therapy Center from 2016 until 2017. Between 2018 and 2021, she garnered expertise as a speech and language pathology assistant at Speech Language and Educational Associates, while concurrently serving as a speech and language pathology assistant at Sprout Speech Language Pathology in Studio City, California.
Since 2021, Ms. Ampil-Alcid has found much success as a speech and language pathologist at Speech Language and Educational Associates and at Sprout Speech Language Pathology. In this capacity, she is responsible for diagnosing and evaluating speech and language disorders in patients as young as 18 months old, in addition to developing, implementing and completing a comprehensive treatment plan and working with insurance plans to ensure funding. Moreover, Ms. Ampil-Alcid specializes in pediatric language delay and disorders, phonological and articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, traumatic brain injury, dementia, voice disorders, and language and swallowing deficits resulting from stroke.
