Ms. Kraft attributes much of her success to maintaining strong working relationships with her colleagues and the consistent encouragement from her school district's administrative staff.
SPRINGFIELD, VT, June 30, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Joanne M. Kraft with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Ms. Kraft celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accumulated over 35 years of practiced expertise in her field, Ms. Kraft is a dedicated educator. She began her career as a mathematics teacher at Riverside Middle School as part of the Springfield, Vermont School District. She taught there for the 1980-1981 school year and again from 1986-2020. In her position, Ms. Kraft taught all levels of sixth, seventh and eighth grade math. After a successful and fulfilling teaching career, Ms. Kraft recently retired in 2020, though she continues to occasionally tutor middle and high school students.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Kraft earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Houghton College in 1980. She subsequently received a master's degree in 1988 from Antioch University (New England). In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Kraft received certifications from the state of Vermont for teaching middle school mathematics for grades five through nine, and for teaching secondary mathematics for grades seven through 12.
As a commitment to her field, Ms. Kraft has maintained memberships with several education-related organizations, including the National Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Vermont Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains involved in her community as a member of the Springfield Art & Historical Society and regularly volunteers with her local church and other nonprofit organizations. Ms. Kraft is notably proud to have participated in the MathCounts program at Riverside Middle School where a small group of her students were able to participate in regional, state and national mathematics competitions.
Ms. Kraft attributes much of her success to maintaining strong working relationships with her colleagues and the consistent encouragement from her school district's administrative staff. Having previously worked as a camp counselor for several years, she discovered her interest in educating children, and she was further inspired to pursue a career in education by her own high school teachers. Looking toward the future, Ms. Kraft hopes to travel more and eventually publish a collection of letters she recently found from her father, which he wrote during World War II.
