A seasoned educator and wellness consultant with over three decades of experience, Ms. Hanks excels today as an independent consultant with Rodan + Fields, president and founder of Health Is You! LLC and as president and owner of Worldwide Culture-Link. Earlier in her career, she worked as a commissioner for the Commission on Human Rights for the city of Albany, and in legal affairs with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA). Additionally, she served in children and family services for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
During the 1990s, Ms. Hanks built the foundation for her career as an eligibility specialist and early childhood intervention specialist for the Albany County Department of Health, and as a case manager with Catholic Charities' Hispanic Outreach Services. Throughout her career, she has earned an Associate of Arts in liberal studies from the University of Alaska, a Bachelor of Science in community health education from Russell Sage College, and a Master of Arts in political science and public policy from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy.
In a career filled with highlights, Ms. Hanks is most proud of working for the government and being nominated to serve as the commissioner for the Commission on Human Rights in Albany as she was the first Latina to serve in the role. Additionally, she was honored to participate in a book by Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz titled "Today's Inspired Leader Volume III." Looking toward the future, Ms. Hanks intends to foster her philanthropic project, which she hopes will be a bridge between farming communities in the United States and Puerto Rico.
