KV Kumar has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    SPRING HILL, FL, July 01, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- KV Kumar, Executive Chairman of the Indian American International Chamber of Commerce (IAICC), has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Kumar immigrated from India to the United States in early 1968 to New York and later moved to Washington, D.C. Currently, in addition to serving as the Executive Chairman of IAICC (www.iaicc.org), Kumar also serves as the Chairman of KMF Investment Group, LLC (www.kmfinv.com), Vice Chairman of American Academy of Yoga & Meditation (AAYM), Member, Board of US India Friendship Council, The Latino Coalition, Hispanic 100 and sits on the board of many companies and organizations.

Formerly, KV worked in various positions at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. and worked at the Asian Development Bank in Manila on loan from the World Bank. He was the President & CEO of the American Systems, Chairman of Business & Strategic Consultants (BSCII) and was a consultant to corporations and non-profit organizations.

Kumar is the epitome of volunteerism and community service. He is known and respected for his volunteer work which adds up to more than 150,000 hours (17+ years). He continues to serve and mentor small businesses, entrepreneurs, people with brain injury, youth and community organizations, and individuals in need of help.

Kumar is the first Indian American to serve six U.S. Presidents (Republican and Democrat) since President Reagan. Kumar is an ardent supporter of small businesses and entrepreneurs. He has helped by bringing them together with corporations, governments and NGOs through networking, conventions, mentor-protégé programs, business forums, seminars, articles, media interviews and one-on-one advisory sessions. He contributed significantly to US-India Trade & Bi-Lateral Relations. KV was the first Indian American to be appointed to the U.S. SBA's National Advisory Council and later to its Executive Committee.

KV is a survivor of multiple brain injuries and is a very strong advocate for the victims of brain injury. He has served on several boards and committees including the U.S. Brain Injury Alliance, and the International and Arizona Brain Injury Association; Red Means Stop Coalition; two terms each on the Arizona Governor's Council on Head Injury and the Arizona State Rehabilitation Council. One of KV's main contributions was his unwavering focus and support for the enactment of the "Traumatic Brian Injury Act of 1996" passed by the U.S. Congress; it helps over five million Americans with brain injuries. The U.S. Brain Injury Association honored Kumar with the Millennium Award for his Unheralded Advocacy and was lauded by the U.S. Senate and Congress. The California State Senate, the International Brain Injury and Arizona Brain Injury Associations, and Arizona Governor's Council honored KV for his services to brain injury cause.

Kumar's work in the larger community in America has not gone unrecognized with numerous accolades and commendations. Most notably, he was presented with the prestigious "Ellis Island Medal of Honor" by the U.S. Congress and Senate; KV was one of 250 persons selected in the country from more than ten million Asian Americans in a publication, "250 Notable Asian Americans"; Bronze Medal from the U.S. Selective Service & Meritorious Service Award from the U.S. Selective Service; IBIA President's Award for Outstanding Achievement at City Hall in Stockholm. He also received several awards/citations from the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Energy, Agriculture, SBA and many national and international organizations.

Throughout his career, KV was proud to help small businesses, entrepreneurs and the needy. During the pandemic, he traveled nearly 27,000 miles mainly by car between May 2020 and August 2021 to offer help, comfort, and support. Over the years, he attributes his success to his family and friends who have unconditionally supported him.
