Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she pursued an education at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Safety Sciences in 2001. Ms. Roll continued her academic efforts at IUP, earning a Master of Science in Safety Sciences in 2009.
As a commitment to her field, Ms. Roll has been certified as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and an authorized Outreach Trainer by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Additionally, she has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Industrial Hygiene Association, where she is an officer in the Women in Industrial Hygiene Committee and in the Georgia Local Section, and the American Society of Safety Professionals, where she is an active member of the Women in Safety Excellence Common Interest Group, the Georgia Chapter, and several society-level task forces and advisory boards.
Ms. Roll began her career as an Environmental, Safety and Health Consultant for a private consulting group in Western Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2003. She garnered expertise as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist for a United States Marine Corps vehicle acquisition program from 2003-2005, and then moved into a leadership role as the first ever Safety Director for the Marine Corps Training and Education Command from 2005-2008. She continued her vocation as a Senior Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Analyst for a joint Marine Corps/Army vehicle acquisition program from 2011 until 2012, before changing her career path to become a Property Casualty Risk Engineer with Chubb Insurance. From 2012 to 2021 she contributed to Chubb Risk Engineering's success in a variety of roles, including a Senior Property Casualty Risk Engineer and a Workers Compensation Specialist.
Since 2021, Ms. Roll has found much success as a Casualty Risk Consultant at AXA XL, where she is responsible for providing research studies, liability risk evaluations and analysis of accounts for underwriters across the globe, advising clients on risk mitigation strategies to help reduce and eliminate losses, and helping to create an ecosystem of safety and health technologies for their client's use.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Roll has contributed her time and services to the Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan and Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta as a troop leader/volunteer, her local church as a student group leader and mission trip volunteer, and her daughters' schools as a parent volunteer. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud of obtaining her CIH and CSP certifications, and of serving the United States Marine Corps as a civilian for over six years, helping to keep our Marines safe in their training and operations. Ms. Roll attributes much of her success to her self-confidence, to the love and support of her husband and to her Christian faith, in addition to Dr. Laura Rhodes, Associate Professor at IUP, and Ms. Betty Boudreaux, Chubb Risk Engineering North America Field Operations Manager, who managed, mentored and encouraged her in all of her professional endeavors.
