An expert in general dentistry, Dr. Cooper has distinguished himself as a dentist for more than 50 years. Having come of age amidst impoverished circumstances, he learned to work hard to achieve his goals, educating himself continually. To prepare for his career, he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1967. Following this accomplishment, Dr. Cooper served honorably as a Captain in the Dental Corps of the United States Army from 1967 to 1969.
After completing his military service, Dr. Cooper began his current role as a Clinical Director in the Dental program at New York University, College of Dentistry, a position he has held for 35 years. In this capacity, he teaches undergraduate dental students and maintains oversight of two clinical floors. Additionally, Dr. Cooper has also managed his own private practice for more than 50 years. As part of his dedication to his field, he serves as a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the national dental honor society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Cooper intends to retire, enabling him to focus more on dental research. In this fashion, he hopes to maintain his relationship with the New York University College of Dentistry while slowly drawing down upon his teaching commitments. Looking toward the future, Dr. Cooper aspires to continue working with Sweetspot Brands, a recreational and medical cannabis company, to help develop products for use by patients.
