After serving in many roles in the field of social work, Ms. Botez serves as the program director for NeuroRestorative, the president of Happy Hearts, Happy Minds, and a training facilitator for the ACT-Raising Safe Kids program. To prepare for her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering, geophysics and geology from the University of Bucharest in 1982 and went on to attain a Master of Science in engineering from the same institution in 1985. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in psychology and social work from the Petre Andrei University of Iasi, Romania in 1998. After immigrating to the United States the same year, Ms. Botez attained a Master of Nonprofit Organizations and a Master of Social Work from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 2001.
As part of her career, Ms. Botez is a licensed child welfare professional and qualified brain injury support provider trainer. Well qualified in her field, she holds certifications from the Department of Child and Family Services in Illinois and as an instructor and master trainer from the Post Institute. Out of dedication to her field, Ms. Botez has maintained her affiliation with the National Association of Social Workers.
While living in Romania, Ms. Botez began her career as the chief executive officer for Bless the Children in 1990. During her graduate education, she functioned as the director of the Creative Learning Center in 1999, after which she became a foster care unit supervisor at Reaching the Mark Inc. in 2002. Ms. Botez continued working in social work for childcare as the case management supervisor and as the regional director for Camelot Care Centers Inc.
Ms. Botez rose to her leadership role for Happy Hearts, Happy Minds in 2014 and became a training facilitator for ACT-Raising Safe Kids in 2015. She has also worked as the program director for NeuroRestorative, a rehabilitation provider for people who have survived brain injuries, since 2016. In this capacity, she is responsible for coordinating everyone at the facility, including the clinical team, the teachers and the life skills trainer on their staff. Ms. Botez monitors the program operation, and productivity by seeking opportunities for growth and reinforcing those opportunities with careful and consistent follow up to ensure staff development and program quality. Having long felt compelled to help people, Ms. Botez credits her success to her collaboration with other caregivers, as well as mentors under whose tutelage she greatly benefited.
