He is currently the acting functional manager at Deloitte Consulting, a role he has held since 2021 and in which he is assigned to work with a human capital management application. Other relevant experiences to his credit include the role of Workday practice leader at DXC Technology from 2020 through 2021 and Workday delivery director–functional/PMO at DXC from 2019 until 2020. At DXC, Mr. Sullivan was also hired into such positions as the Workday practice manager and the engagement manager for large enterprises. Finally, he functioned as a senior manager II with People Systems/Learning Management Systems for Walmart from 2008 through 2017.
Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science in music education from Ouachita Baptist University, but he acknowledges that opportunities in the assistant store manager training program at Walmart are what launched his IT career. There, he refined his leadership skills by working with up to 100 direct reports and gained valuable insight into the backroom operations and IT infrastructure of the retail giant. Ultimately, Mr. Sullivan recognized the relevant intersections between his understanding of the logic of musical language to an IT industry career—and programming in particular. Moreover, for one year, Mr. Sullivan taught music in the junior high and high school settings, and he deploys that experience in his strategic coaching and mentoring methods.
Varied experiences in the industry have helped Mr. Sullivan earn a reputation as a professional who is skilled in evaluating organizational needs, crafting strategic plans and driving efficiency and productivity. In this capacity, he acts as an engagement manager or lead in projects with top companies around the globe and across industries ranging from aerospace to retail. In fact, he boasts eight years of installation experience in the international arena, and in his diverse roles, Mr. Sullivan facilitates the seamless implementation and conversions of the Workday application and software.
In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Sullivan has accumulated numerous relevant certifications, including the Workday Delivery Assurance Manager Certification (DAM), the Workday Human Capital Management Services Core (HCM) and the Workday Project Manager Certification (PM). He is also proud to have been bestowed with the Dale Carnegie Highest Award for Achievement in 2010. As an active member in the Singing Men of Arkansas since 2015, he contributes to the nonprofit organization of volunteer musicians who have connected personally and creatively through their love of music. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sullivan envisions remaining an active, productive presence in the IT industry. Additionally, at Deloitte specifically, he seeks to further exploit his mentoring capabilities by accepting facilitation positions over the next several years.
