Drawing on over a decade of diverse expertise, Mrs. Koster specializes in interior design. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she served in the United States Air Force as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), better known as an Aerospace Medical Service Technician. While on Active Duty, Mrs. Koster received her education at The Community College of the Air Force and Saint Leo University. Mrs. Koster obtained an Associate of Allied Health Sciences (A.A.S.) in 2012, an Associate of Liberal Arts (A.A.) in 2015, an Associate in Instructor of Technology and Military Science (A.A.S.) in 2015, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminal Justice in 2015. Following these accomplishments, Mrs. Koster attended the Art Institute of Tampa for Interior Design for one semester in 2018. Mrs. Koster concluded her scholarly endeavors at Saint Leo University, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA), in Health Care Management in 2021.
Mrs. Koster was inducted into the Omega Nu Lambda Honor Society following her 3.9 grade point average in graduate school, and has been an active member since.
Mrs. Koster began her career in the United States Air Force as an Emergency Medical Technician from 2009 to 2015, while concurrently serving as a Medical Education and Training Instructor (METC) from 2013 until 2015. Since 2019, she has found much success as the Owner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Interior Designer of her private company, S2K Designs. In this capacity, she specializes in interior styling, staging, décor, space planning, designing with furniture, proper lighting, proper scale, proportion & balance, 3D renderings, 2D mood boards, design finishes, design elements, extensive paint knowledge, textiles, color theory, and various interior design styles, in addition to special events, and holiday and seasonal decorating. Moreover, she is responsible for creating and presenting renderings and/or mood boards to potential vendors/clients, conducting on-site/virtual consultations, meeting and working with contractors and architects, ordering samples, and bringing her clients' dream design visions to reality. In her career related endeavors, Mrs. Koster has been featured on such Home and Garden Television (HGTV) shows as "100 Day Dream Home" and "Rock the Block" with team Mika and Brian.
Well regarded for her contributions in the military, Mrs. Koster has received multiple awards from the United States Air Force, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award x3, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal x2, and the Air Force Commendation Medal x2, and USAF Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, to name only a few.
Among her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Koster is most proud to have served as a designer for various shows on HGTV and seeing her name in the credits. In addition, Mrs. Koster was also featured in three design blogs and obtained a paid partnership with HomeGoods in under two years. Mrs. Koster was also recently featured and published in Voyage Tampa Magazine in Tampa Bay, FL for her accomplishments. She attributes much of her success to her hard work, dedication, and fearlessness in the face of failure, as well as her deep Christian faith. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Koster aspires to expand the scope of her business by establishing her own local interior design store and contributing more to her local community by celebrating nearby vendors with a small coffee design shop where community members can gather. Mrs. Koster wants to give back to her community and let other women know that even if you are a working mother, your dreams can come true also! Mrs. Koster also stated "dreams do not have to stop because we have a family, we just have to have faith and try." She also stated "do not ever let anybody tell you, you are too old, you are starting too late in this field, or you have to have an educational background in the field you want to pursue." Mrs. Koster stated "if I did that, I would not be where I am today, and all glory goes to God." Mrs. Koster said she would love to be able to give back to someone one day who was in her shoes two years ago, and share the knowledge she has acquired, and help others achieve their dreams alongside her.
