Mr. Stevens has a long history in the music industry. Prior to working in fitness, he became active in the rap scene. He is currently a member of the Mossie, a Billboard charting American west coast rap group. The group first appeared together on E-40's 1993 EP, while The Mail Man and his albums have since included Have Heart Have Money, Point Seen, Money Gone and Soil Savvy, with a variety of solo projects (under the name Mugzi and Zill Zill) and numerous features.
Mr. Stevens attributes much of his success to his faith in God and his mother, Shirley Thurman. He has also drawn deeply from the inspiration of such mentors and former employers as Mike and Linda Doucette, as well as his brothers Earl "E40" Stevens Sr. and Dannell "D-Shot" Stevens, Tenina Suga-T Stevens and Father, Earl J. Stevens. As an extension of his work, Mr. Stevens also contributes to his community as the founder of D&D Fitness Warriors. Likewise, he coached youth football for the Vacaville Bengals, a youth baseball coach for the Vacaville Pony and local Vacaville High Schools, Will C. Wood and Vacaville High. To support his business and local businesses alike, he is an active member of his local chamber of commerce.
In 2012, Mr. Stevens was recognized as a Top Trainer by SolanoFit Magazine. Furthermore, Stevens Fitness Explosion Elite Training was voted #1 for Best Health Club 2019 and was voted runner up for Best Health Club 2020 and voted #1 for Best Place for Kids to Be 2020.
