Mr. Goldfrach began serving as the chief operating officer of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2020.
COLTON, CA, July 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrew Goldfrach, FACHE has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An accomplished health care professional who has contributed more than 15 years of expertise to the field, Mr. Goldfrach began serving as the chief operating officer of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2020. Located in Colton, California, the facility houses 456 beds as a university-affiliated teaching hospital. Licensed by the state of California Department of Public Health, it is notably operated by San Bernardino County and is governed by its Board of Supervisors.
An expert in strategic planning, hospital operations and service line development, Mr. Goldfrach is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the academic medical center, which serves as the safety net hospital for a 20,000-square-mile county, the largest in the contiguous United States. From February to September 2021, Mr. Goldfrach also rose to the occasion as the interim director of public health for San Bernardino County, where he, along with county leadership, led the county wide COVID-19 response.
Well regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Goldfrach is a former president of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) of Northern Ohio in Cleveland, a former chief executive officer of the University Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital in the greater Cleveland area, and a former administrator and senior executive of Good Shepherd Penn Partners in Philadelphia. Among other noteworthy roles, he previously functioned as an emergency medical technician in New York for over a decade.
Fortunate to have worked in nearly every aspect of health care operations and leadership during his career, Mr. Goldfrach was most honored to have served as the inaugural chief executive officer of the Avon Rehabilitation Hospital from 2016 to 2019. In this capacity, he was instrumental in establishing the facility and creating a thriving organization. Gratified to have been recognized as the second highest ranked rehabilitation hospital in the state of Ohio and in the top 10% in the nation for quality under his leadership, the facility was also rated as the number one hospital in its overall classification.
Mr. Goldfrach chose to work in the health care sector after his father had been in a life-threatening car accident that resulted in a bilateral lung collapse, traumatic brain injury, and multiple fractures. After witnessing what he went through and the lack of care coordination from health care administrators, Mr. Goldfrach became inspired to pursue the field after graduating from high school. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue broadening his expertise in the industry so that he can collaborate with excellent professionals and drive health care policy and strategy on a wider scale.
Mr. Goldfrach received a Bachelor of Arts in health care policy at Ithaca College in 2005, followed by a Master in health administration at the Washington University School of Medicine in 2007. He is also lean six sigma certified and board-certified in health care management.
To remain abreast of industry trends, Mr. Goldfrach is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), board member of the ACHE of Southern California and the Community Health Association Inland Region. He previously served on the board of directors of the ACHE of Northern Ohio and the Healthcare Leadership Network of the Delaware Valley and was a board member for the Missouri Healthcare Executive Group. In addition to his industry-related memberships, Mr. Goldfrach remains active as a member of the Ithaca College Alumni Association and the Washington University Health Administration Program Alumni Association.
Highlighting his qualifications, Mr. Goldfrach has been the recipient of a multitude of awards, including a Health Care Executive Regents Award in 2014 and a Service Award in 2020 from the ACHE.
