DUBOIS, PA, July 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael D. Krach has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Upon earning a bachelor's degree in music marketing from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1993, Mr. Krach began working at a repair shop. Soon after the shop closed, he found work at a juvenile delinquency facility. While working with children, he thought of acquiring a certification to teach in a public school, which led him to earn a bachelor's degree in music education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1999, where he subsequently served as an adjunct woodwind professor from August 2015 to June 2016. Throughout the course of his career, he has also excelled as a music teacher with the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Olean, New York. He also taught music at Harmony Area School District in Westover, PA from June 2000 to August 2007 and has served as guest conductor at several festivals.
In 2007, Mr. Krach joined the Punxsutawney Area School District as a music educator, a role he maintains today. For the past 15 years, his responsibilities include providing instrumental lessons and band for grades 4, 5, and 6, as well as chorus for grades 5 and 6. Six years ago, he had a massive heart attack, which made him refocus on the essential priorities in life. In the years since his heart attack, Mr. Krach has pursued additional education, earning a master's degree in jazz performance studies at the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2019.
To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Mr. Krach aligns himself with the National Education Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. To commemorate his professional achievements, he was inducted as an honorary lifetime member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He has played with artists such as Jim Donovan, the drummer of the band Rusted Root, Bill Watrous, a jazz trombone legend, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Endre Rice, a trumpet player for The Count Basie Orchestra, and rock legend Bobby Rydell. In a career filled with highlights, he is most proud of everything that he has been able to do. Looking toward the future, Mr. Krach aims to continue teaching and performing.
