Prior to obtaining her current position, Dr. Gordwin worked in the same position for North Highland through which she supervised daily operational activities and supported the establishment of Workday, a cloud-based software that specializes in human capital management and deployment, impacting more than 8,000 people.
Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Gordwin gained valuable expertise in project management and information technology with Belk, American Airlines, Redtoo and MoneyGram International. Likewise, she worked as an implementation manager, operations project manager and CCC senior supervisor for PFSweb. In the context of her various positions, she has reduced annual operating costs by nearly $200,000 for the companies for which she has worked and developed a tracking process and reporting tool to provide visibility, which improved agent productivity by 20 percent.
An expert in her field, Dr. Gordwin holds an Associate of Applied Arts in fashion design from The Art Institute of Dallas, a Bachelor of Arts in fashion design and small business entrepreneurship and a Master of Business Administration via Texas Woman's University. To further her expertise in the field, she attained a Doctor of Philosophy in business administration and project management through North Central University in 2020.
Additionally, she is a project management professional through the Project Management Institute and a certified scrum master via Scrum Alliance. Outside of her main career path, she contributes to her community through Black Women in Project Management. In recognition of her professional accomplishments, she received the Leader of Excellence Award via PFSweb, which has been one of the highlights of her career. Looking toward the future, Dr. Gordwin aims to expand her nonprofit organization and retire from her work as a consultant.
