LAKE WALES, FL, July 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer Huff has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A dedicated civil employee, Chief Huff was promoted to serve as the deputy fire chief for the Polk County Fire Rescue in Polk County, Florida, in 2021. She has also been serving as the organization's battalion chief since 2016, a role she obtained after 17 years of experience rising up through the ranks within the department.

The Polk County Fire Rescue notably operates more than 40 fire and rescue stations throughout the county. Serving all residents, as well as visitors that frequent the area, fire rescue operations include emergency medical technicians, paramedics and career firefighters.
Passionate about public service, Chief Huff found inspiration in her mother, who once served as a Paramedic with Polk County Emergency Medical Services. Chief Huffs' husband, son and daughter are also firefighters. Grateful for her ongoing success, especially in a field that is predominantly led by men, Chief Huff looks forward to many more years of continued success in her newly appointed position.
As an extension of her career, Chief Huff has been teaching as an adjunct professor of emergency medical services and fire at South Florida State College in Avon Park, Florida, since 2008. Additionally, Chief Huff has been affiliated with the Bartow High School Medical and Fire Academy in Bartow, Florida, since 2016, where she has been instrumental in training and preparing high school students for careers in public safety.
Committed to serving her community, Chief Huff is also active with the youth as a scout leader for the Girl Scouts of America. The group is made up of more than 28,000 girls throughout eight Florida counties.
To prepare for her career, Chief Huff received a bachelor's degree in public administration at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2011, followed by a master's degree in public administration at Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama in 2020.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Chief Huff is a member of the International Association of Women in Fire & Emergency Service and the Florida Fire Chiefs Association. She is also a prominent member and chairperson of the Florida Public Service Association where she works in collaboration with high schools, the fire academy, the law enforcement academy and several teaching academies throughout the state of Florida. Chief Huff previously served as one of the organization's board members from 2016 to 2022.
