Mr. Romero's interest in the broadcasting field dates back to his childhood when he would imitate announcers at home. To encourage his son's interests, his father contacted an announcer at a local radio station, who invited them for a visit. The experience was transformative for a young Mr. Romero, who recalls reading a piece of newswire to the announcer and earning his praise. Three months later, the announcer invited Mr. Romero to help him on a newly created news show, and he agreed to participate.
An exceptionally hard worker, Mr. Romero attributes his success to his perseverance and willingness to put in the long hours required to excel in both TV and radio simultaneously. He also enjoys charity work and hosting fundraising events, and he has supported March of Dimes and St. Jude Children's Hospital for more than 35 years. Looking toward the future, he aspires to work as long as he can, maintaining his ratings and his enthusiastic following. He is grateful for the support of his three children, a 28-year-old and 19-year-old twins, as well as his parents and brother.
