Long dedicated to service on behalf of her patients, Ms. Paquet has distinguished herself as a nurse for more than a decade, having drawn inspiration from the example of her former mother-in-law. To prepare for her career, Ms. Paquet earned an Associate of Arts in general studies from the University of Alaska in 2005 while stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey as a RN, Ms. Paquet served honorably as a flight medic and staff sergeant for the United States Army from 1995 to 2008. During this time, she was deployed to Afghanistan and earned induction into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. She was also honored with a Leanne Von Autreve Leadership Award, was named as the NCO of the Year by the 3-2 Air Defense Artillery Battalion and the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade and received a USA Omar Bradley Award.
Following the conclusion of her military service, Ms. Paquet attained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Austin Peay State University in 2012. Following this accomplishment, she began her career as an emergency room nurse for Jennie Stuart Family Medical Center in 2012. Throughout this period, she also worked as a PRN nurse for Skyline Medical Center. In 2014, Ms. Paquet continued her career as an emergency nurse for Tennova Healthcare until 2021.
Since 2021, Ms. Paquet has relocated to the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital as an ER nurse. Known for her exemplary bedside manner, she brings humor and compassion to all her patients to help lift their spirits while providing life-saving care to soldiers and their dependants. She also serves as a mentor and preceptor for fellow nurses. As part of her dedication to her field, she is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association. Looking to the future, Ms. Paquet is considering pursuing a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner dual in mental health nursing and critical care.
