CENTERBURG, OH, July 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Highley has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing inspiration from the example of his grandfather, a master plumber, Mr. Highley began in the HVAC industry after returning home from his service in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an aerospace fire protection specialist for two years. Following his entry into the field, he earned his license to practice in the state of Ohio and received an Associate of Applied Science in HVAC Technology from Columbus Technical Institute.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Highley gained valuable expertise in the field as an HVAC maintenance technician with the local Holiday Inn. Likewise, he functioned as a lab technician with Liebert Corporation, where he designed, built and tested computer room environmental cooling equipment, as a service technician with Premier Services Inc. and as the owner of H&R Heating and Cooling.
Drawing on his considerable knowledge of the industry, Mr. Highley worked as an instructor for MTA School between 1990 and 1991, and expanded upon his experience through service technician and leadership roles with such institutions as American Refrigeration, Edwards Electrical and Mechanical, and L&H Consulting. From 1997 until 2009, he earned distinction with the American Mechanical Group by maintaining and repairing HVAC, refrigeration and medical equipment. Additionally, Mr. Highley maintains his affiliation with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, North American Technician Excellence, the Air Conditioning Contractors of Central Ohio and the Refrigeration Service Engineer Society.
Supported by years of experience, Mr. Highley presently excels as a code instructor for the Rebecca Warren/Jamie Clemons O.C.I.L.B. Training Agency, through which he remains aware of residential and mechanical codes in the State of Ohio. Additionally, he is the HVAC coordinator for Columbus State Community College, where he began after discovering the need for qualified technicians and installers in the trade.
Long dedicated to his community, he contributes to Heat the Town, an annual collaboration between the Air Conditioning Contractors of Central Ohio and The Breathing Association, which aims to provide individuals with safe and reliable heating for the winter. For his professional achievements, he was named as the Mentor of the Year through The Man Initiative in 2021. While his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud to have assisted students in his role at Columbus State Community College. Looking toward the future, Mr. Highley aims to continue in his position at the college, make their HVAC program one of the best in the nation, and eventually retire.
